Looking for a fun place to shop? Urban Outfitters, or UO has opened its first store in the county at The Westchester Mall. Students no longer need to travel to Greenwich or Manhattan to enjoy UO’s “experiential retail space” with its colorful displays, wide assortment of branded merchandise, and friendly vibe.Located on the second floor opposite Crate and Barrel, UO has a large and open area previously occupied by Restoration Hardware. According to its website, UO is “a youth driven cultural brand that expresses itself through fashion. Our customer is passionate about art, music, design and fashion, and so are we. We’re a creatively-led company.” The store exemplifies that creativity in The Westchester with upfront displays that includes one-of-a-kind jean shorts, Staring at Stars, Kimchi Blue skirts, and Boho print dresses. In the Men’s Department, there are Lucky Oaf shirts, BDG hoodies, OBEY caps, and Levi vests. In addition to apparel, the store is stocked with accessories, small electronics, gifts, toys, beauty items, cards and room décor that includes posters, framed vinyl record covers, and more.

According to Men’s and Housewares Manager Michael Costello, “We opened on January 31 and have been doing even better than expected. We are a place that likes to promote self-expression. We offer a lot of variety. It really is a store for any kind of dresser. Plus we have many other items as well. I think students will agree that Urban Outfitters is an awesome place to shop.”

We agree. Check it out!
