Saturday night, the Mt. Pleasant Ice Cats, composed of players from Briarcliff, Pleasantville, Valhalla and Westlake, took on the Fox Lane Foxes at Westchester Skating Academy. Nine seniors were honored before the game, including Briarcliff’s Matt Klarnet and David Brown.
The game got off to a quick start with a goal by sophomore Michael Greenberg. The Ice Cats continued their scoring rampage with goals by Giancarlo Romano, Ryan Smedley, Nick Barbero and Aidan Vanden Vossenberg as well as four goals by Joe Mastro. The Ice Cats won by a final score of 9-0. Matt Klarnet and David Brown shared time in goal, together recording a shutout.
