From February 7-28, The Katonah Museum of Art was bustling with people flocking from far and wide (most likely within the boundaries of Westchester) to view the artistic talent of local high schoolers. The exhibition was titled “Young Artists: A High School Art Exhibition” and featured artists from Briarcliff, Ossining, Fox Lane, Bronxville, White Plains and more.
The exhibition was open primarily to seniors and featured work from Caroline Adams, T.J. Collins (Hey! That’s me!), Sam Orientale, Mathena Chan, Emily Garlasco, Lily Juris, Claire O’Neill, Angela Cao, Sara Sam-Zee-Moi, Vishwa Shukla, Finn Torres, Ben Young, Jacob Zednik, and Brian Zhou. The exhibition spanned the entire first floor of the museum: the central room contained larger pieces and some sculpture, and the rooms on the left and the right contained an array of paintings, drawings, digital paintings, and photographs. Despite being one of, if not the smallest school participating, Briarcliff had the most artists from one school in the show!
