Mr. Anthony Muraneli Briarcliff Spanish Teacher MoustacheIt is bittersweet that The Briarcliff Bulletin reports on the retirement of long-time Spanish teacher Mr. Anthony Muranelli, commonly referred to as “Mur.” The time known as “Despues de Mur” (so elegantly put by Senior Justin Cho during the Class of 2013’s farewell party to Mur) will mark a new era for BHS. The Briarcliff High School Varsity Girls Cheerleading Team or VGC is diligently preparing for the upcoming winter season. The team is led by seniors Marnie Halper, D’onna Potillo, and Taylor Talenti and coached by Head Coach Kristi Wagner and Assistant Coach Megan Molloy.

The Future of Senior Superlatives

In late September, the senior class was notified by Mr. Kaishian via email that the traditional Senior Superlatives section of the Briarcliff Bruin Yearbook will be omitted or revised this year. This decision came after Mr. Kaishian received information from an anonymous source that the voting process had caused “disenfranchisement, and hurt feelings for a number of students.”
